Rapid retro-fits on all machines
The Level-Ice system replaces the existing manual ice conditioner blade crank with an electric motor that fits neatly into existing spaces on your ice resurfacing machine. The Level-Ice uses a safe, low power laser transmitter that is fitted near the ice above the dasher glass. Another laser sits above the operator’s seat, and relays the ice depth to the control system. A control unit sits on the driver’s dashboard, allowing them to select the pre-set parameters, and concentrate on driving.
The system automatically control the conditioner blade, lowering it to remove higher sections, and retracting it for areas that are at the correct level. We will install a new conditioner blade along with Level-Ice to ensure a clean sharp scrape from day 1. The system also records the ice depth over time, so you can check it before and after every game as well as out of hours usage and shifts.
Training and installation Our installation also involves full hands-on training for your staff in the programming and use of Level-Ice, to get the maximum benefit from the system. We can also advise on the best depth of ice for your particular rink according to its construction, the state of the bed, and its daily usage.
Installation is done by our own in-house team who come to you and usually install it and the control system within 48 hours of arrival (subject to the condition of your existing machine, of course). So each machine will have minimal downtime, usually without the need to close the rink to regular hirers and users.
Once fitted, the robust Level-Ice system works hard for you day in, day out without the need for extensive maintenance and reducing blade wear by up to 50%.

Maintenance and Servicing
We built the Laser-Ice system to be tough and resilient, so minimal maintenance is required to the laser system itself. A good quality conditioner blade usually last up to 50% longer than with manual systems, so that’s less time you need to spend sharpening it or replacing it.
We offer/include an annual service for our Laser-Ice system that involves a thorough check of all aspects of the system, both mechanical and electronic. If required, we can reset parameters, recalibrate the laser guidance and upgrade the software as we constantly add improvements to the system.
With the efficiency and accuracy of Level-Ice, spending a whole day on ice maintenance and resurfacing is reduced to a matter of minutes. So you’re also reducing the load and usage on the machine itself and therefore it too should require less repairs and maintenance.
